About Us

OUR FAMILY
Our Family Bob and Diane Naberhaus spent their honeymoon in Chalet Village in September of 1971. Our three children and now seventeen grandchildren have all enjoyed hiking the trails, water rafting most of rivers in the Smokies, the winter activities, the wild life and beauty of the Gatlinburg area and our home in the village. Our family has continued to open our home to visitors most of which are repeat guests. We are committed to providing a great value to our future guests and hope each guest will enjoy and respect the Cub Haus as we do. Your suggestions are always welcomed and appreciated.

CUB HAUS HISTORY
The land for Cub Haus was purchased in 1979 the year before the World’s Fair was held in Knoxville Tennessee. We began construction the following year with only the first floor being completed. Progress allowed us to grow the project and begin offering our chalet for overnight rentals. In 1999 our chalet was destroyed by a wood burning chimney fire. The next two years were occupied by planning and rebuilding the chalet with larger rooms, vaulted ceilings, easy access and other features attractive to our family and guests. Each year we continue to replace or upgrade furnishings, bedding and other items as possible. Each season also allows for both interior and exterior decorations that make you feel at home. Our family loves the mountains and hope you find similar memorable experiences.
